5 questions we asked and she answered:

1. How did you develop a passion for cars and/or motorsports?
I have always loved two-seater, fast cars. My first car was a classic 280Z. Since then, I’ve owned four other two-seaters. Three of them were the same car in different colors. The fourth car was essentially the exact vehicle, but the manufacturer changed the name.

With my love for fast cars, it was only a matter of time before I got into racing. After being invited to the NASCAR Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway by Crown Royal, I fell in love with racing at first sight. In a short time, I learned everything about NASCAR, became a credentialed media member, joined the National Motorsports Press Association, became a writer for TheDrive.com, and so much more.

2. What advice do you have for people who want to break into the motorsports and auto industry?
Motorsports is a grind. I feel fortunate that I made connections quickly. My advice is: don’t be shy, and network as much as possible. Connect with people online and in person. Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself, but be careful with your asks. Develop your relationships before asking for anything.

3. If you could drive any car, what would it be and why?
Why drive one car when you can have three? Ha! My vision board includes a Ferrari Roma Spider, a Porsche 718 Spyder, and a Mercedes-Benz G-Class..

4. If you could attend any car/motorsports event in the world, which would you choose? Why?
Japan is one of my favorite places in the world, and I would love to experience the Japanese Grand Prix to channel the spirit of the 1976 championship showdown between Niki Lauda and James Hunt. Also, Monaco—because why wouldn’t I?

5. What’s the most exciting car event/race you’ve ever attended?
I’ve been fortunate to attend my share of races from the Daytona 500, Indy 500, Formula E Championship, and more. But attending the Ferrari Finali Mondiali was something special, and the Formula 1 Chinese GP in Shanghai will always have my heart since it was my first international F1 race.
