5 Questions We Asked and He Answered:
1. How did you develop a passion for cars and/or motorsports?
Growing up watching motorsports events, I was always fascinated by the solitude of motorsports. You’re alone in your helmet, just you and your machine. The team has done what they can to prepare you, but once you’re on the grid, it’s all up to you to win or lose. I enjoy watching the sport, knowing it’s all about how well they control the machine. Might be a lame answer, haha.
2. What advice do you have for people who want to break into the motorsports and auto industry?
There are so many new ways to go about that. Companies are seeking fresh, new content, so you could provide them options they don’t already have. Helping hands at events are always welcomed; you could sign up to volunteer. Figure out what you enjoy doing and start from the bottom.
3. If you could drive any car, what would it be and why?
Porsche GT3, every time. The 911 body style is timeless, and getting to drive them for video shoots is amazing; however, having to return the car to its owner is hard.
4. If you could attend any car/motorsports event in the world, which would you choose? Why?
Isle of Man. To witness greatness and insanity combined as one atop a superbike would be unbelievable. Racing through real city streets at over 150 mph is unreal.
5. What’s the most exciting car event/race you’ve ever attended?
Gonna throw it back for this one… monster truck shows as a kid. There’s nothing quite like being young and impressionable and seeing those trucks up close, the pure power and the way those drivers seem like superheroes is unmatched.
