Cars & Coffee meet ups light up Southern California every weekend. Hundreds of JDM legends, lowriders, and exotic supercars crowd lots from LA to the OC. From big-name gatherings to grassroots meetups, the city turns into one long cruise route for anyone who loves cars. And this weekend was no different.
Our Saturday morning kicked off on the rooftop at the Petersen Automotive Museum for Donut Media’s third annual Cruise-In. The Petersen rooftop set the perfect tone for hitting events from all corners of LA’s car scene. Later that evening we headed to Long Beach to the Bayside Magazine Launch to support our friends at Cararra Media with their new rule-breaking car magazine that blends beach vibes, car culture, and ’90s nostalgia.
Next we hopped on the free way and headed to Costa Mesa for a Driftmas event put together by our friend Brandon from The Meet and hosted by three-time Formula Drift champion Chris Forsberg. Then Sunday took us to the historic Helms Bakery in Culver City for Johnny Lieberman and Chef Sang Yoon’s Cars & Coffee event presented by Cars & Bids. Sometimes it’s tough to decide where to go since multiple car events happen at once, but this weekend we had a plan: support some of the folks we love in the community.
Picture 911s roaring while Ferraris turn heads and classics shine under palm trees. Each week in LA, car enthusiasts flock from Griffith Park to the Valley, drive down PCH in Malibu, or head up to Newcomb’s Ranch in the mountains of Angeles Crest for the informal, weekly Good Vibes Breakfast Club meet-up.
Nonstop action like what we experienced this weekend proves why LA owns car culture.
