A NASCAR Weekend at Texas Motor Speedway: Behind the Wheel of the Chevy Trax RS
Driving the Chevy Trax RS during a NASCAR weekend at Texas Motor Speedway offered a comfortable ride and practical features for a hassle-free experience.
There’s something about a weekend at Texas Motor Speedway that gets the adrenaline and the curiosity going. When the opportunity arose to take the 2025 Chevy Trax RS for a spin during race weekend, it felt like the perfect chance to see how this little SUV handles a big Texas adventure. The Trax stood out at the airport valet, its shimmering Marina Blue Metallic paint and 19-inch black-painted wheels giving the RS model a sporty edge. Inside, the RS is a tech lover’s playground, with an 11-inch diagonal HD color touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth audio streaming for two devices. Keyless open and start added convenience, and the surprisingly spacious cargo area easily fit luggage, camera equipment, and snacks for the road.
On the highway and at the Speedway, the Trax RS delivered comfort and just the right amount of attitude. The ECOTEC 1.2L Turbo engine provided enough pep for merging and city driving, while the ride-tuned suspension handled Texas roads with ease. Safety features like IntelliBeam High Beam Assist and a suite of driver assistance tech gave peace of mind, and the elevated seating position offered a clear view of the endless landscape.
