BBI Autosport opened their Huntington Beach shop for an Avants gathering, offering open access to serious Porsche builds, people, and process.
If you know Porsche performance, you know BBI Autosport. The Huntington Beach engineering shop behind Ken Block’s Hoonipigasus and multiple Pikes Peak efforts opened its doors on January 31st for an Avants gathering that felt less like a formal event and more like an open invitation. No VIP barriers, no entry fee. Just donuts, coffee, and direct access to some of the most serious Porsche builds currently in progress.
Inside the shop, guests moved freely among widebody GT cars mid fabrication, motorsport focused suspension setups, and race ready engine bays that reflect BBI’s deep roots in competition. From street driven builds to full hill climb and time attack machines, the event offered a rare look at both the cars and the people pushing Porsche platforms beyond factory limits. By opening their space to anyone curious enough to step inside, BBI and Avants highlighted what makes automotive culture work at its best: access, craftsmanship, and a shared respect for machines built with purpose.
